50/125 is a popular multimode fiber used in telecom applications. Another type is 62.5/125 which is also massively used. The difference between the two is that the core diameter is not the same, one is 50nm while another is 62.5nm. And their performance is also different, 50/125 can reach a longer distance.
Normally, It means OM2 when mentioning MM 50/125. OM3 and OM4 are also 50/125, but their transmission distance is longer and the speed is higher. OM3/OM4 supports 40G&100G data transmission.
Anfkom provides 50/125 multimode fiber optic patch cords with different connectors. 62.5/125 fiber optic patch cord is also available.
