Professional FTTH Fast Connector SC (0.9mm, 2.0mm, 3.0mm)
The FTTH Fast Connector SC, also known as a Field Installable Connector (FIC), is a revolutionary tool for rapid fiber optic termination. Designed for simplicity, it allows technicians to terminate FTTH Drop Cables on-site in under a minute without the need for epoxy, polishing, or expensive fusion splicing equipment.
As a core component of our FIC Connector series, this SC connector is versatile enough to support 0.9mm tight-buffer fiber, as well as 2.0mm and 3.0mm indoor cables.
Key Advantages for Installers
-
No-Polishing Technology: Each connector is factory-pre-polished, ensuring high optical performance and a stable connection right out of the box.
-
Rapid Installation: Reduces “last-mile” deployment time significantly—ideal for large-scale fiber-to-the-home rollouts.
-
Universal Compatibility: Designed to work seamlessly with standard Fiber Optic Adapters and termination boxes.
-
High Reliability: Features a built-in high-quality ceramic ferrule for low insertion loss (≤0.3dB) and high return loss.

FTTH Fast Connector SC – Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What is the warranty policy for Anfkom Fast Connectors?
A: We provide a 12-month quality warranty for our FTTH Fast Connectors. We provide fast connectors manufactured using high-quality ceramic ferrules and Japanese-imported matching gel, designed for a 10-year service life in stable environments. If any product fails due to manufacturing defects, we offer a 1-to-1 replacement.
Q2: Can this SC Fast Connector be reused?
A: Yes. Our mechanical Field Assembly Connectors allow for up to 10 re-assembly cycles. If the initial insertion loss is not within the desired range (≤0.3dB), you can simply unlock the wedge, re-cleave the fiber, and re-insert.
Q3: Does it require a fusion splicer?
A: No. This is a “Cold Connection” solution. It eliminates the need for expensive fusion machines or messy epoxy, making it the most cost-effective choice for large-scale FTTH Drop Cable deployments.
Q4: Is SC/APC or SC/UPC better for my network?
A: For high-speed GPON or Video/CATV signals, SC/APC (Green) is recommended due to its superior return loss (≥55dB). For standard data-only networks, SC/UPC (Blue) is the industry standard. Both versions are available in bulk from Anfkom.
